My Life:
My name is Dusk, obviously I wasn't born at dawn... I'm a wife, a mother and in my 41st year...which is kind of weird because I don't feel like a fully-fledged adult. That's why I keep my silver hair. It's evidence of maturity.
I am a writer. Well I was. Nowadays I... just waffle on. So I'm a waffler. I also created a natural skin care range and shoped for those that couldn't (I know! Crazy right?). I used to be a journalist, jazz singer and Jedi. I can't prove the Jedi bit. Just [waves hand] know it [mind trick done].
...I move a lot... Flamenco & Taiko & Acropole & Bikram Yoga keep my joints and flesh 'juicy'...which sounds kinda yuck but it's all good... also means that I can enjoy my food without guilt. Guilt is a bitch people, not a Good Bitch. Bad Bitch. Guilt makes your body panic. (Good Bitch - assertive, speaks her mind, gets what she wants through determination and truth. Bad Bitch - whiny, destructive, asshole)
By the way...even though I dress like everyday is an occasion (it is!) I'm rather low maintenance and 'outdoorsy'.
Life's too full of choices to be stereotypical anything.

I don't have a 'look', that's not my style. I dress according to what colour mood I'm in that day/week and then I decide era or a manner.
I consider my blog a magazine (magazone?)...magazines aren't about interaction, they're about reaction.

Hopefully my images encourage my valued readers to wear more colour, to step out of a comfort zone and also inspire women my age to discard ridiculous notions that a woman over 40 has to be Madonna to dress like a star! As in...out there!

I don't do trends (after they're trends) and I don't need labels to validate me. I validate Me. I shop everywhere, I'm an equal shop-portunity shopper! I love exclamation marks!! See?! I'll stop now...

Not everyone has the time nor ability to seek and find so I used to 'source' clothes (vintage, old, new) for those that can't. I worked with colour moods not neccesarily trends... I no longer do this except for a few select clients BUT... I do have a shop now! SHOPERA HOUSE
